Nicki Minaj wins 3 2010 BET Hip-Hop Awards

Nicki Minaj was a big winner Saturday at the 2010 BET Hip Hop awards in Atlanta.

She took home three trophies -- Rookie of the Year, People's Champ and the Made You Look award, a nod to her fashion flair. "I'm paving the way for girls," she said, according to HipandPop.com. "I wanna thank all the girls of hip-hop."

Drake, Jay-Z and Alicia Keys were other winners. The show will air on BET on Oct. 12.

Minaj won three awards: Rookie of the Year, People's Champ and the Made You Look award, the latter in recognition of her fashion sense. Jay-Z, who was not in attendance, earned three awards as well for Perfect Combo for his Alicia Keys-assisted "Empire State of Mind" collaborative effort, CD of the Year for "The Blueprint 3" and Best Live Performer.
